Please refer to the following list of important dates to remember:
Friday, May 22: All Imperial Knight information needs to be submitted. I have my running list of students who have completed the requirements, however, I want to make sure I don't overlook anyone! Please email me and let me know that your son or daughter has completed the requirements. I will double check your email with my notes. I've enjoyed the science projects that have been brought in or videos emailed. My class has also enjoyed listening to stories/books kids have written and illustrated and games some have made for their projects. What a creative group of students! If you have any questions, please refer to the "Imperial Knight Awards" tab on my home page.
Tuesday, May 26: Please return all Baggie Books. I will need to inventory these books this next week. Continue to make trips to the public library a fun and rewarding experience for your child. My students LOVE to read and I hope they will continue to enjoy reading for the rest of their life. :)
Wednesday, May 27: Field trip to Wheeler Farm. This is an outside event. Please make sure your child dresses accordingly. Don't forget to pack a home lunch for your child unless you requested to have the school make one. (If you can't remember, let me know.) I also want to thank nearly 3/4 of you for your willingness to volunteer on the field trip! I feel very fortunate to have worked with such an awesome group of parents this whole year. Because of the amount of parents interested in chaperoning on our field trip, I chose chaperones by drawing 5 names out of a bag during class this w eek. If your name was chosen, you should have received an email prior to this one.
Tuesday, June 2: Last BoxTop store for the school year! (Keep collecting them for next school year.)
Wednesday, June 3: Annual EGGDROP event for A track. Details to follow. Our first grade class will also have a Read-a-thon. Your child may bring up to 3 books from home. Please label all books.
Friday, June 5: Our last Spelling test
Monday, June 8: Mrs. Patterick's annual Board Game Day! Your child may bring 1 board game from home. It needs to be a game that your child can explain to others, as s/he will teach others how to play the game. The games will be returned home the same day.
Tuesday, June 9: Field Day for A track. Please make sure your child wears good running shoes. No flip flops or sandals.
Wednesday, June 10: Our last day of school will follow a Friday schedule. We will be done at 1:25. (The other tracks will follow a regular daily schedule.)
