Below I have listed some upcoming year-end activities. Please take a moment to review the list, as some will require things from home.
- Monday, May 28th No School
- Tuesday, May 29th Egg Drop Day: Feel free to come watch our egg dropping take place around 9:30 in the morning.
- Wednesday, May 30th Field Day and Board Game day: Students need to wear running shoes, sunscreen, and clothes that are easy to play in. Hats are also a good idea. If you send a water bottle they need to be clearly labeled and are the students responsibility. Also, your child may bring in one game from home. Please make sure it is a game your child is familiar enough with that he/she will be able to teach it to others. NO electronics this time.
- Thursday, May 31st Reading Campout/Pajama Day and Bubbles & Chalk Day: Students may bring in one stuffed animal that can fit in his/her backpack, a snack, and a couple books from home. Students are also invited to bring sidewalk chalk and bubbles. We will be heading outside for some fun summer writing and bubble catching.
- Friday, June 1st Last Day of School: (The saddest day of the year) Your student may bring 1 “fancy” pen to school to sign memory books during the morning (I will provide the memory books). We will be outside where first grade lines up from 12:45-12:55 singing the school song. School will dismiss at 12:55.
Wow! I can't believe this year is already coming to a close! I appreciate your support this year in your child’s education. Your children have made this one of my best years in teaching, they have given me so much love and respect and made the school days fun. I will miss them dearly and I want to thank each of you for allowing me to be their first grade teacher. It truly has been a privilege.
